GameCity 8 Opening Night. PixelPyros Light Up Nottingham With Interactive Fireworks

Nottingham's eighth annual GameCity welcomed PixelPyros, and their interactive digital fireworks to open the festival in style.

Using state-of-the-art projectors and lasers, The Market Square was lit up by a huge screen of virtual pyrotechnics, all controlled by the crowd. Participants simply touched one of the many orbs at the bottom of the screen to launch a firework, making this a uniquely crafted show, unlike anything you've seen before (think PS2's 'Fantavision,' but on a much larger scale).

With plenty more activities throughout the week, this has been an amazing start to the festivities. Check out our gallery and video highlights.
