A multi-million pound budget and excessive marketing is no longer a primary catalyst of popularity.  More and more, be it in film, books or video games, we have seen a huge influx of new horror experiences, created by people purely for the love of this captivating genre.

Now that Google Glass is out in the public, what does the future hold for the device?  Will we as a society accept this device, and what apps would we use?  Toronto-based creative agency Playground Inc. has answered this question with a concept video that envisions what we may be using Glass for in the coming months.

Kevin Smith has changed his mind about using Kickstarter to fund Clerks III, saying that doing so would be unfair to struggling film makers.

Unlike Zach Braff, Smith has decided to use the capital and influence he already has rather than use funding from the public.

Kevin Smith announced on Monday that he has completed a draft of Clerks III.

When he began the script in March, he said that the final film in the Clerks series would be the best film he'd ever make.

Research by the Office for National Statistics shows more than seven million adults in the UK have never used the internet.

Currently 43.5 million adults are now online, which is one million more than this same time last year.  However, 7.1 million remain offline, with the elderly and disabled least likely to be connected.

Blackberry has announced that its popular 'BBM' messaging service will be coming to iOS and Android as a free app this summer.  Long considered as one of the company's strongest exclusive features, CEO Thornston Heins announced "It's time to bring BBM to a greater audience."

Within hours of its launch, a Facebook app offering users a one-in-six chance of deleting their account has been pulled.  This social media reinterpretation of Russian Roulette, named 'Social Roulette,' puts the user's Facebook account at risk of complete deletion.
