Digital Expo for Lincoln at Frequency Festival

From digital art to our digital futures.  These are to be discussed by some of the top thinkers and doers within the respective fields of media culture at the Lincoln Digital Expo on 28th October.

As part of the Enterprise-Debate-Connect series, Frequency 2011 is set to host a set of fantastic debates and seminars for those of you opinionated about the future of the digital lifestyle...which pretty much means all of you.  Talks feature an insight into IPTV: the latest TV revolution from BBC On-Demand Editor Mark Barlex, the diffusing of high tech utopias with Guardian blogger Pete Ashton, an exploration of uprising independent media by Pod Delusion, and a question that splits many-an-audience: can games be art?  (Discussed by whatgamesare.com's Tadgh Kelly).

There is also to be a live digital painting demo from Lionhead (Fable) concept artist Emrah Elmasli, a "surgery" to improve your social media strat with Guru Andrew Beeken, and the opportunity to meet tonnes of others within their respective fields.  Tickets are £45, students go for £31.

New Rising Media will be there.

See our other coverage of Frequency including our take on the whole event, a review of the Four Seasons digital art exhibit and the announcement of Touch Music playing in the Cathedral this Friday.
