iPhone battery problems? Philips has an app for that

While we're waiting for the official fix to come out of beta from Apple, Philips has introduced a free app that goes some way to helping you get the most out of your battery lifespan on your iOS device.

Called Batterysense (available for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad), the app doesn't actually do anything besides provide you with estimated time remaining for different tasks, and what you can do to extend that battery life.  You can dictate what you're going to be using your phone for, and how long you'd want to get out of the phone by dragging the green bar (on the left image) up or down (found this functionality kind of pointless because you'd obviously want to get the maximum out of it; but it's all bells and whistles so it doesn't matter).

But the interesting concept of it all is the 'What if' feature: simulating how your battery life would change depending on what settings you changed or what actions you partook with the phone (reducing brightness, turning off push notifications, etc).  So, all-in-all, the Batterysense app is stuff we've already heard before in terms of extending your iOS device's lifespan; but it's a pretty cool utility, plus it's free from the app store.
