The Last Of Us Review

The post-apocalypse has been played out many times.  A viral outbreak leading to the collapse of society has become a rather generic standard.  Many have tried and some have prevailed; but none quite like The Last of Us. 

The dystopian remnants and unforgiving journey show elements of inspiration from the likes of The Road and Children of Men.  But most importantly, it shows a very different Naughty Dog to the typecasted creator of adventures like Uncharted or Crash Bandicoot.

The Realm is an upcoming point-and-click adventure game currently making the rounds on Kickstarter. The game takes place on an Earth in the far future, presumably after an apocolyptic event, in which remnants of cities and civilisations we recognise today have grown in harmony with nature - trees, plantlife, and the like. The game follows the journey of a young girl, Serena, and her giant golem friend, Toru throughout the land, all rendered lovingly in a hand-drawn artwork style, layered to create 3D environments.

Game Dev Tycoon, a game about developing games, saw a cracked version released to several torrent sites, and pirates everywhere dipped in for a slice of fun pie. Next Generation Xbox To Be Unveiled On May 21st

Invitations have been released for the announcement of a next-generation Xbox in Redmond on May 21st.  Ever since Sony announced the PS4 two months ago, all eyes have been on Microsoft to see how their new console will stack up.  At 10am Pacific Time on the 21st of next month, Microsoft's Don Mattrick will reveal the "Xbox 720."  And while it will be limited to select press, Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb has confirmed the event will be streamed live.
