HyperStealth Introduces New Technology To Make You Invisible
‘The Invisible Military Becomes Reality’ is the boast coming from Canadian camouflage design company HyperStealth Biotechnology Company, introducing a new material named ‘Quantum Stealth’ that can render a target completely invisible by bending light waves around the wearer.
But that’s not all, because if we’re to believe President and CEO Guy Cramer, the “lightweight, [relatively] inexpensive” material can even remove the infrared (night vision), thermal signatures and shadow of the target – completely off the grid, as it were. ‘Claims’ are all they are at this point in time as far as the general public is concerned however. Cramer himself says he can not discuss the details of how the technology accomplishes its task “for reasons of security”, and the official press release presents only mock-up images to demonstrate the concept at hand.
Not that Mr Cramer cares if you’re sceptical, of course (though we arguably have every right to be). “The people that need to know that it works have seen it and verified it…Their opinions are the only ones that matter,” he says. Having purportedly shown both the U.S. Military and the Canadian Military the actual material, Cramer says all parties will be able to verify the material works “without camera, batteries, lights or mirrors”, and furthermore have confirmation that the material “works against military IR scopes and Thermal Optics.”
Just don’t expect to ‘see’ it any time soon (even if could), the company itself remains doubtful that its invisible ‘magic fabric’ will become available to the commercial market for quite some time. Still, if boasts indeed are true, its application within the military is obvious, where Quantum Stealth-wearing invisible soldiers close the divide between science-fiction and science fact.
