 At least our robot overlords will have a pet. Boston Dynamics have created a robotic relative to their previous Cheetah that could outrun Usain Bolt. Called the 'WildCat,' it's able to run outdoors untethered. The human race doesn't stand a chance.

While this may not be as fast as its 28mph cousin, the WildCat currently travels at a rather speedy 16mph on flat terrain. Funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), future plans have not been announced for this quadruped. I refer back to my previous story: the moment a gyro is placed on this to stabilise a machine gun, we'll see Skynet soon enough.
