Was the GTA V release date confirmed?

The signs.  They're everywhere.  One frame in particular has been identified, as a bystander hammers in a "For Sale" sign and the curb reads "2405."  Put the two together, and you have one hell of a red herring.

CoD 4 and MW2 Map files found in Modern Warfare 3?

So Reddit user SMKTZ found five maps from the original Modern Warfare and it's second iteration hidden away in Modern warfare 3's game files.

This has been a historically regular occurence with the previous titles in the series, with file extension-related 'hints' to recreated homages to previous famous multiplayer maps of old.  This time around, we have 4 maps from original and one from the second: Crash, Crossfire, Strike, Overgrown and Highrise.

Game of the Week: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

It’s odd how the cogs of the game industry turn. After days, weeks and months ticking off the days to pass us over the drought of summer releases, this week sees us treated to two of the biggest, most anticipated releases of the year. With minutes seeming like seconds and hours like mere minutes in Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 thus far this week, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim promises to take whole days away from us completely with its mesmerising blend of high fantasy lore, deep role-playing mechanics and the natural beauty of its expansive world.

Editorial: Stop hating, haters. Modern Warfare 3 deserves it's plaudits.

Modern Warfare 3 is no stranger to contentious issues either it seems - last week we highlighted another emotionally provocative scene in which a young girl is subject to a roadside bomb.

Alan Wake Sequel Confirmed For XBLA

Though long-rumoured and leaked in part in May, Remedy Entertainment today confirmed that an Alan Wake sequel is in the works. Titled Alan Wake’s Night Springs, somewhat surprisingly for such a high-profile IP, the follow-up to the Twin Peaks-inspired psychological thriller (that grew to be really boring after the first two levels) will not see the light of day at retail.
