Catfish Film Review

A blissfully uncomfortable world of online dating behind the curtains of internet contortionism and constant surveillance, all presented within the realms of a documentary.  It seems almost too convenient that New York photographer Nev Schulman's brother was always on hand with a camera to document all the key developments in this gentleman's online relationship between an 8 year old girl, her mother, and her 17 year old half sister; the latter containing online voyeur.  A beautifully awkward, under-the-skin sensation is communicated as questions of Facebook personal validity and technological abuse are raised.  The haunting counterpart to The Social Network. 8
