Watch Hitchcock's Rear Window Re-Imagined In Single-Shot Edit
Whether it's HD re-masterings of old favourites for a much-requested Blu Ray release, fan-made remakes through careful editing, or a post-production 2D-to-3D conversion (most recently seen in the likes of Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace and this week's anniversary re-release of Titanic for the big screen), technology is repeatedly bringing new life to some of cinema's most treasured flicks.
Ashton Kutcher To Play Steve Jobs In Biopic 'Jobs'
Despite observing this particular piece of casting news on the first day of the fourth month of the year with much trepidation (we initially resigned it to our over-stuffed April Fool’s Day joke drawer), the news that Ashton Kutcher is to play Apple founder Steve Jobs in a biopic of his life – entitled, reservedly, Jobs – is in fact entirely genuine.
An Interview With Xerxes Sangco, Creator Of Halo: The Fallen
Hollywood is a strange beast. With every passing day, hundreds of thousands of dollars are pumped into film productions that make-up the major studios' theatrical output for the coming years, and hundreds of millions at a time for the biggest, most extravagant tent-pole blockbusters.

Flaws Of Star Wars Episode One Lightsaber Battle Exposed
The primary reason why The Phantom menace has been the most antagonised film of the Star Wars saga has been because of Jar Jar. That is until now, as this video points out how downright ridiculous Darth Maul, Obi Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn look and perform in their final light saber battle.

The setup is simple, director Peter Livingston has taken to Kickstarter for money to film his, thus yet unnamed, documentary: following the history and culture that surrounds the Evolution (EVO) fighting game tournaments. Thousands of people from around the world come to Vegas, and find out who the "best in the world" is.

Mattel To Officially Release The ‘Back To The Future’ Hoverboard
We might still be some time off street-engulfing holographic 3D advertisements, flux capacitors, flying cars and self-drying clothing, but there’s more to Back To The Future’s imagining of 2015 that caught the eye. How about the self-lacing Nike MAG sneakers, the DeLorean’s home energy reactor Mr. Fusion, and the then-and-now-iconic Mattel hoverboard featured throughout the BTTF sequels?
Film Review: Chronicle
Three high school friends gain superpowers after making an incredible discovery. Soon, though, they find their lives spinning out of control and their bond tested as they embrace their darker sides. (Source: IMDB)
In the final shot of Chronicle, we're informed by teenage tearaway Matt Garretty (played by newcomer Alex Russell) that he will 'search for the answers' that will come to disclose exactly why the events of the film unfolded like they did. As a closing sentiment, it makes sense within the context of the film. But for the audience, it's more than a little aggravating to say the least. Whether through sheer laziness or genuine directorial reasoning (within the context of the hand-held style, it may have appeared disjointed and forced); Chronicle simply refuses to explain away any of the myriad plot holes, contrivances and perplexing character developments it so chooses to force onto its audience.

Monty Python Stars Re-unite For Sci-Fi Comedy
So this was the bright side of life that they were singing about. Some of the members of Monty Python are reportedly teaming up for a science-fiction spoof going by the title of Absolutely Anything.
The classics are back: John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Michael Palin and Terry Jones (director); but a question mark floats around Idle, who has held out so far. However, anything can happen between now and summer, when production begins in UK.
The Hangover: Part III To Begin Shooting In Summer… If Brad, Ed and Zach Get Their Big Pay Rises
The Hangover: Part III is on the cards for a shoot this summer for a May 2013 release… That is if Warner Bros. and lead actors Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis can come to an agreement over their pay to reprise their headlining roles atop the R-rated comedy franchise. According to the Hollywood Reporter, deals have been stretched out for months, though a final agreement between studio and actors is expected to take place soon.
A Psychoanalysis of Shallow Hal
What appears to be a rather harmless Jack Black romantic comedy, teaching us the life lesson of beauty being more than skin deep, is actually some rather intriguing and deep under-currents of psychological trauma.
After watching a re-run on Sky Movies, I felt compelled to report my oh-so compelling results.
'Star Wars Uncut: Director's Cut.' A crowdsourced remake of A New Hope
The global project to recreate the original Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope in 15-second user-submitted segments has been uploaded and released for free viewing.
The individual scenes have been made available and live to view for quite a while; but the massive undertaking of curating all of these into 473 components of a greater whole has finally been completed, resulting in the 'Director's Cut.' We have to admit, it's fantastic.
