Apple iPhone 5S Announced
The iPhone 5S has been announced at an event in California. Maintaining the same design as the previous generation, following the standard launch cycle set by Apple, the hardware has seen a considerable upgrade.
Google Announces Android KitKat
Google has confirmed that the next version of Android will be called KitKat. No, I'm not joking, KitKat, as in that chocolate bar available in either fingers or the chunky variety, will be the codename for Android 4.4. This keeps Android's tradition of naming each version after desserts; but this is the first with a deeply integrated (and rather delicious) joint marketing venture.
Nintendo 2DS Announced. New 'Entry-Level' Handheld Console Without 3D
Nintendo has unveiled a new low-cost version of the 3DS that plays games in 2D. It will be released in the UK on October 12th for £109.99, according to pricing by GAME. This is probably one of the more confusing product decisions we've seen from the company in recent times, including the Wii-U.
O2 Announces 4G Network Coming August 29th
O2 has announced plans to launch their own 4G network, beginning in three cities on August 29th. The network is to switch on first in London, Bradford and Leeds, with an extra ten cities by the end of the year.

Instagram is taking on Vine, as it has launched a new video-sharing service, simply called "Video on Instagram."
Next Generation 'Xbox One' Announced
After much hype and speculation, Microsoft has officially unveiled their next generation console, the Xbox One. Don Mattrick (pictured) made the announcement to a huge round of applause, planning to make it the 'All-in-one' system in your living room.
Nokia Lumia 925 Announced
Nokia have announced the Lumia 925, their latest flagship Windows Phone 8 smartphone, at today's event in London.
Following all previous rumours, and yesterday's leaked images, the Finnish smartphone maker has finally taken the official wraps off the phone. It's quite similar in design cues to the previous models in the Lumia line, but it has a twist: it's made from aluminium. The rear of the device is still made from polycarbonate, and the front is a pane of glass; but the aluminium surround marks a new shift for Nokia's material-centric design.
Next Generation Xbox To Be Unveiled On May 21st
Invitations have been released for the announcement of a next-generation Xbox in Redmond on May 21st. Ever since Sony announced the PS4 two months ago, all eyes have been on Microsoft to see how their new console will stack up. At 10am Pacific Time on the 21st of next month, Microsoft's Don Mattrick will reveal the "Xbox 720." And while it will be limited to select press, Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb has confirmed the event will be streamed live.
Facebook Home Announced. Revamps Any Android Phone To Be About 'People, Not Apps'
After years of speculation, Mark Zuckerberg talked about that Facebook Phone. Introducing 'Home,' a deep software integration with Android, that takes over the homescreen and designs your phone around "people, not apps." HTC's Peter Chou also took to the stage at the social network's campus in California to announce the HTC First, a hardware realisation of Facebook's vision.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Announced
Samsung have unveiled the Galaxy S4, their next generation smartphone at the 'UNPACKED' event. Titled the 'Life Companion,' it brings a new set of features to the table. Aesthetically, little has changed; but plenty of software and hardware upgrades are present.

NASA's Curiosity Rover Finds Conditions Once Suited For Life On Mars
NASA's Curisoity Rover has discovered evidence that Mars had the conditions necessary to support life. An analysis of a rock sample collected by Curiosity shows the red planet could have supported living microbes in its history.
Facebook Announces A New Look For News Feed
Facebook has unveiled a new look of the News Feed, radically redesigned to give the site a much-needed overhaul. Clutter has been reduced, bigger images are now incorporated and greater customisation is possible, which the company hopes will keep user attention and attract advertisers.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has taken to the stage at their California headquarters and announced 'Graph Search.' Forming an indirect, social-based competition to Google, it is "a completely new way for people to find information on Facebook."
